Get cited by AI search — without touching your existing website

TL;DR

We bolt a small set of fast, AI-discoverable answer pages onto your existing domain — at yoursite.com/insights/... or insights.yoursite.com. Your existing site, CMS, listings, and forms stay exactly as they are. Two weeks, fixed price from £1,200, no rebuild required.

What is the AEO Hub?

The AEO Hub is a small set of fast, AI-discoverable answer pages bolted onto your existing domain — without touching your existing website. We build them in Astro, host them separately on Vercel, and route them in via Cloudflare or a subdomain. Your existing CMS, listings, forms, and staff workflow stay exactly as they are.

It's the answer for businesses that want AI citation — sometimes called AEO, sometimes GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) — without the cost, timeline, or risk of a full rebuild. You keep what works. You add what's missing. Two weeks, fixed price, no surprises.

Who is this for?

Estate agents whose site is built around a listings search and don't want to touch it. Media-rich businesses (galleries, portfolios, video-led sites) where the existing CMS is doing real work. B2B services running on WordPress, Wix or Squarespace where the homepage is functional but AEO content is missing entirely. Any business whose existing site is OK but invisible in AI search.

If your site is fundamentally broken — dog-slow, security warnings, can't be edited — a full rebuild will give a better return. The Hub is the right call when your site works but isn't winning AI-search visibility, and you'd rather not start from scratch.

How does it work technically?

Two architectures, depending on your hosting setup. The subfolder option (yoursite.com/insights/...) puts Cloudflare in front of your site and uses a Cloudflare Worker to route the /insights/ paths to our Astro deployment, while every other URL passes through to your existing host unchanged. Strongest option because all SEO and AEO signals consolidate under your brand domain.

The subdomain option (insights.yoursite.com) uses a single CNAME DNS record pointing at our Astro deployment. No nameserver migration, works on any host. Simpler to set up but AI engines treat the subdomain as a separate entity, so authority doesn't fully consolidate to the brand domain.

We default to subfolder where possible and fall back to subdomain when the host blocks Cloudflare (Wix, Squarespace and Shopify often do) or when the client would rather not migrate nameservers. Either way, your existing site is untouched.

What you actually get

Five answer pages targeting your highest-intent AI search queries — written by us, briefed in a 45-minute discovery call. Schema.org markup (Organization, FAQPage, Article) on every page. Both /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt published so AI crawlers can index your content cleanly. A baseline citation report showing where you're cited (and where you're not) across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews at launch.

Plus the things you'd expect from any site we ship: sub-second page load, Lighthouse 100/100/100/100, no render-blocking JavaScript, hosted on Vercel's edge with no monthly hosting fees on top of what you already pay.

How it scales

After the first five pages, you've got two options. Stay where you are — the pages keep working, keep being indexed, keep getting cited. Or move to the AEO Retainer (from £350/month) for 1–2 new answer pages per month, ongoing citation monitoring, and schema updates as AI engines change their indexes. Most clients move to the retainer once they see the first citations come in.

If the Hub proves the model works for your business, the natural step up is full AEO implementation across your existing site (£1,800), or eventually a full Astro rebuild (£3,500+) if you decide your existing site is the bottleneck. We don't push that — most clients stay on the Hub and the retainer indefinitely.

Pick the deployment that matches your hosting

Both tiers ship the same content and schema. The difference is how the pages are routed — and how concentrated the authority is on your brand domain.

AEO Hub questions, answered

The questions we get most often before clients commit.

Will this break my existing website? +
No. Your existing site, CMS, plugins, listings, forms, and staff workflow are not touched. With the subfolder option, Cloudflare acts as a transparent middleman — your existing host serves every page it serves today. With the subdomain option, the new pages live on a completely separate URL.
Do I need to give you access to my CMS? +
No. We never touch your existing site. We need 30 minutes of access to your domain registrar (or Cloudflare account) to set up DNS — that's the only access required. You can do it yourself on a screen-share if you'd rather not hand over credentials.
Subdomain or subfolder — which should I choose? +
Subfolder if your host allows Cloudflare in front of it (most do — WordPress, custom-hosted, Webflow, most managed hosts). It's the stronger option because all SEO and AEO authority consolidates under your brand domain. Subdomain if your host blocks Cloudflare (Wix, Squarespace, Shopify) or if you'd rather avoid nameserver changes. Both deliver AI-citable content; the difference is how concentrated the authority is.
What kind of pages should be on it? +
Answer-engine queries that your existing site doesn't (or can't) target. For an estate agent: 'Bolton property market 2026', 'Sell vs let in Greater Manchester', 'How to choose an estate agent'. For a B2B service business: 'How much does X cost in Manchester', 'Y vs Z compared', 'How to choose a Y supplier'. Your discovery call defines the five queries — we write the pages.
How long does it take? +
Two weeks from kickoff to launch. Week one: 45-minute discovery call, content briefing, build, schema. Week two: deploy, DNS / Cloudflare setup, citation testing baseline, go live.
What happens to my email when you change the DNS? +
Email keeps working. We preserve all existing MX records during the migration and verify mail flow before going live. With the subdomain option no MX changes happen at all — just one new CNAME record.
How will I know it's working? +
Monthly citation reports — we run your target queries through ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews and screenshot when your domain is named in the answer. First citations typically appear 4–12 weeks post-launch depending on category and competition.
Can I scale up later? +
Yes. The Hub is the entry point. Most clients add the £350/month retainer once they see the first citations. Some progress to full AEO implementation across their existing site (£1,800), or eventually a full Astro rebuild (£3,500+) if they decide their existing site is the bottleneck. No commitment to upgrade — many clients stay on the Hub indefinitely.
Why not just rebuild my whole site? +
Sometimes that's the right answer — if your existing site is dog-slow, broken, or you're paying through the nose to maintain it. But most sites that work don't need to be replaced. The Hub gives you the AEO outcome (citations, fast answer pages, schema) without the cost, timeline, or risk of a full rebuild. We'd rather you bought what you need.
What does it cost ongoing? +
Nothing extra beyond your existing hosting. The Hub is hosted on Vercel under our account — no hosting bill comes to you. Cloudflare's free tier covers the reverse proxy. The £350/month retainer is optional and only kicks in if you want ongoing pages and monitoring.
